for an application I have in mind I need a (power) switch that can be
controlled by TCP-IP.

I need to open/close a small electric engine 220V/50W.

I can find several traps of the sort avaiable in the market (like Ankuoo)
but all seem to be bound to a custom application, what is not wanted.

The solution I need must be controlled by me.

Anybody knows of a switch with an API ?

Thank you

Switch no, but you can use a Raspberry with a Solid State Relay
something like

http://raspberrypi.stackexchange.com/questions/36514/properly-wiring-a-solid-state-relay-to-the-gpio-pins

As you probably know fpc can use the gpio pins of the raspberry ...

Search eBay for "ethernet relay".
